2.6 is a 6 cylinder, it could be made to fit but its a bit more than just bolting it on. |

You could fit the 2.3 in there! That will give you a head start if you want to tune it later on. They used the same autobox. |

Theres a 2.3-15v and also a 2.3-8v (also a 4 cylinder) found in W124 E-classes etc.. Going 6 cylinder wouldnt be too bad, if your going to the bother of an engine swap you might as well make it worth while! Just take the auto box/(or manual) that will come with your donor engine

I was on about the 2.3 8 valve because its basically a bored out version of the 2.0 you have already got. If you really want to go six cylinder it maybie worthwhile just putting the M103 3.0litre engine in! Its exactly as the 2.6 just bored out a bit more. |

Hi ive got a 2.0L also that i have just had a 2.6 engine and gear box put in. We chaned the wiring loom and the ecu's.. I thought it was all done and was about to drive it away when i got around the corner and it started cutting out and was difficult to start. It starts fine from cold but after about 2 minutes it starts to cut out again.. Does any one know why this coud be, is it that i have forgot some thing? i thought maybe i needed to fit the fuel pump from the 2.6... |
