Hi ive got a 2.0L also that i have just had a 2.6 engine and gear box put in. We chaned the wiring loom and the ecu's.. I thought it was all done and was about to drive it away when i got around the corner and it started cutting out and was difficult to start. It starts fine from cold but after about 2 minutes it starts to cut out again.. Does any one know why this coud be, is it that i have forgot some thing? i thought maybe i needed to fit the fuel pump from the 2.6... Please help i was so happy to get my car back as its been of the road for 4 months now.. Now it seems to be turning in to nightmare.. |

did you swap in the ECU, ignition module, and or the double pump fuel tree? |

I would suspect a lack of fuel volume to the fuel distrib. - you need the two fuel pumps. Cold starting allows the direct feed from the fuel pump and after a timed delay it switches over to the fuel distrib. |

Are you sure about that? I don't think my 2.6 had 2 pumps... Could be wrong though I guess! |

All 2.6s had twin fuel pumps as far as i'm aware, i know from experience if one goes down it results in poor idleing and hesitation to pull away, this is exagerated due to one pump needing to work against the other none working pump. I would suspect that running a single pump would result in slightly less noticable symptoms at idle but more pronounced at speed. |
