Having the engine mounts changed this week. Have been advised to change them as they've hardened with age and are causing a wee bit of vibration on tickover.
Anyone changed theirs ? :driver:

I've changed them on both my cars. The top 17mm bolt holding them down is real hell to get undone, I had to use a breaker bar both times. On the 16v they're quite difficult to get to too, luckily I did mine while the engine was hoisted (still like it now!). The bolts holding them to the crossmembers are silly hex heads, and they strip very easily - so be careful!

I never fit spurious parts , they're usally more expensive in the long run. B)

Got the new engine mounts fitted and the car is so smooth now, on idle and when taking off. Bill wasn't too serious , £130 including the parts and fitting the two rear flexible hydraulic pipes.  :driver:
