hello all,im sorry but im gona have to admit defeat and ask agen,my engines misfireing.its a 2.0i 4clylinder and im guessing its a cracked head.ive replaced distributer,rotor arm,plugs,leads,battry,alternator,coil,and ecu.to no avail.the water lights on constant[wether topped up or not].some water seems to be leaking from a hose under the car thats pointing downwards not connected to anything.looks like its meant to be like that.anyone know wot this hose is.also theres a noise like somethings crawling around behind the dashboard[theres not ive checked]when the water temp starts going up.also theres no sludge in oil.waters clean.altough is diserpering.any replies would cheer me up,electric run out just as hamonds tyre exsloded,missed the whole thing hussh.gif doh.cheers. |

If the water is coming out of the overflow tube from the radiator resavoir then you have either got too much pressure for some reason (I can't help there) or you have the wrong pressure let off rad cap. They come in different let offs to protect the engine apparently. In case you didn't know. |

no i didnt know that,thanks presure let off cap? is that on exspantion tank?
waters coming from the hose right underneath the engine that points down.

If the hose that leaks is at the front of the engine then it is your water pump gone! The bubbling/rattling is probably air going through the heater system! With a misfire as well I would say your engine has overheated and blown your head gasket! Get it to your local garage where they have a simple test to confirm this! |

thankyou ben,ill do that.not sure what to do if it is the head gasket.get it repaired or just change the engine.
:unsure: still after having to replace the gearbox,brakes,alternartor,wheels,exshaust,ect ect there cant be much left to go wrong....................................can there???
:D.

good news!!! done compretion test and evrythings fine.misfire turned out to be a cracked spark plug [fitted by exspensive incompertant mechanik]there should be some sort of name and shaming for these people.if i wanted completly bodged id have done it my self
so just the new water pump now.oh and i found a crack in the exshaust manifold. also thanks to evryone who replied your help is much appresiated
