Hi Guys I asked this qeustion earlier in my (Hi I am newpost) but am thinking maybe you won't all look so to all those who are a bit techy and know there cossies any idea what may be causing high idle speed just so you all know was running fine last night but it failed it MOT yesterday because it had a fuel leak happened to be the EHA Valve or Fuel reg depends what you call it I suppose I had a spare one a changed it (and yes I did try the O rings first but the old unit must have a hair line crack somewhere??????? Since I changed it the car has been idling at 1300 rpm or there abouts I did notice that I forgot to plug the valve up after I started it the first time after the change but as soon as I noticed I re-attached the plug ...... any ideas would be much appreciated.

Is the EHA adjusted correctly? Even the slughtest bit out will have big effects! Ideally you need a Bosch specialist to calibrate it.

Yeah dont touch it yourself, see a Bosch guy and they will sort it out. Not too expensive either ;)

So you reckon that the EHA could quite easily if out of calibration cause a high idle?????
I think I might put the old one back on tonight and see if idle returns to normal...

The wheel is located (as you stand in front of the car) on the RH side of the rocker cover, just forward of the 3rd big nut. You can adjust the idle with it.

No, I pinched it when the pliers slipped about a week ago. Had a very nice blood blister for a while & it hurt like fook.

The 'burnt finger' photo isn't there any more.. does anyone have it? I never got to see where this infamous knurled knob-wheel thing is!

I've deleted the photo. Look down the OS of the valve cover, just ahead of the 3rd from the front big nut. Can't miss it.

Intriguing. Thanks for posting the pic again.
