Hi all, great site, i'd love to post some pics of my 190e but I don't know how....maybe I'm not allowed. yet?? anyway I've worked at a main dealer for $% years now, from workshop (electrics mainly) to service advisor to workshop control to warranty to....who knows..so hopefully I can be of some help with info, problems etc. As regards Mercedes cars the new ones are fantastic, clever, lovely machines...too clever for their own good half the time, I mean what was that SBC braking all about? just asking for trouble that was, anyway despite all the fancy looks, gagets etc these new cars lack something, something that older Mercs have loads of......Integrity with that 'built to last forever' feel, that solid thunk when you close a door has gone, the proper screwed down wiring connectors, the 'over engineering' that the money men at DCAG have stamped out, they have ruined that special MB feel, how many current models will still look as good as my 190 in 15 years? none judging by the current rust problems which seem to go on and on, fingers out DCAG, have a look at your older products and think again, quality not quantity. "The best or nothing" Nuff said for now Best wishes to all, speak later |
