Amazing cars you have there Michael!

Why is the 1984 2.3-16 badged 'Sportline' on the grille, wings and even the Dog-Leg Gearknob?
I've never seen that before, and you didn't explain in the specifications...

Welcome Michael, nice site , very nice cars . I love the 2.6 s/e , never seen one in Ireland, with only 700 made ,they probably never got this far.

1993 LIMITED EDITION Mercedes 190E 2.6 Mercedes Benz celebrated 10 year old anniversary of the 190ers, by building 700 Limited edition of models. This model is just as rare, as the EVOs. This model has like the avant-garde row rare equipment characteristics like e.g.: Sport seats, which are with black leather and individually red leather in the seats. Also the doors were equipped with red characteristics. The seats have same style as those of the 16V. The chassis is a sport LINE chassis, which is naturally somewhat tauter than the normal. The steering wheel is smaller from the diameter, than the conventional. The vehicle was delivered with original 15 tariff 15Loch rims with 205/55/15. The Schaltknauf is also a sport LINE and the armatures is from Carbonimitat. The car was delivered original with a 6-Fach CD change-over switch.

moin Micha,

nice to read you here!

These sportline badges for the grill are very rare - and quite expensive if you get one at ebay.de Mine is save in my "museum" :)

Since the 300E-24 sportline was available with 5 speed Getrag gear box there is a gear knob with the correct shift pattern AND the sportline symbol.
rare as hell... B)

regards and
Grüße nach Halle,
Christian
