I could PM Matt about this but thought it would be good to have the info for all to see for future reference. Basically, whats the best product to use to protect the new inner wings i have bought against stones and rust etc? And what should i use for the beading on the inner arch lip? The new wings dont have this on them.(if you know what i mean!!) Thanks, Stu |

well if im thinkin its the plastic inserts you need my garage needed to make all new bits for mine as the arches have been modded so much so the local garden centre had plastic barrels which were cut .. heated bent and new arch protectors made out of them do a bloody good job also tbh |

'Schutz' Stu or Underseal. I think you can get Schutz in an aerosol, but it usually comes in a container that we attach a Schutz/Underseal gun to and applied via compressed air. |

Well you can use Underseal on it which will protect to wings from water as it will make the water bead off and give some protection against stones. Schutz will provide a stronger stong chip protection though. |

Firstly i'd remove the transit primer and apply a coat of acid etch primer in there, or zinc. Then apply a PU seam Sealer behind the lip. Then apply a coat of textured stonechip. Then paint (only needs to be hammerite or simmilar hard wearing paint as its unseen) and waxoyl. Dont forget to stonechip the underside of the lip too as it gets a hammering and will rust quickly otherwise. |
