hi there, thanks for you advice on the position of the overload relay. after finding it i have found that the fuse is ok so i orderd a new relay but have had no luck as the replacement ones keep being wrong despite using the numbers off the old relay. what does this relay control exactly? the car is difficult to start from cold but runs a treet after 30 secs or so and the abs light is on all the time. any ideas? or is just co incidentle and these could be seperate faults? i have just bought the car so i dont know if both these faults happened at the same time or they occured as seperate faults. |

Hi, Welcome to a great gang, and loads of excellent useful info. Just seen your post re bad starting, and the ABS light on. If you still haven't made any progress...... Sounds like you've got no power to the ABS computer which also means no power to the Engine Management Computer.... Have a look at Mercjim's thread in 'Technical ' 'Idle Speed Changes when hot' Last post 16th June. Sounds like you could have very similar problems All best wishes jim_E |
