Chaps,

I posted earlier in the week regarding this motor on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...07798&rd=1&rd=1

It did look familiar to me as my uncle owned one- as luck would have it it was his old one!
The friend he sold it on to had the clutch done at his place in York. ( I'm in Surrey btw)

Luckily for me the ad wasnt too great, but the car has full MB history, new clutch, alternator and is actually in good condition.

We did a great deal on it and all I need to do now is jump on a train to York to collect my new toy!

Will post some pics once I've had the chance to valet and buff it.

I've had some great help so far, (and will probably ask for more), but in the meantime, thanks!

Oh, by the way, classic car insurance- £146, fully comp.

Congrats - I had a squint at that one myself, but happily I managed to buy one literally around the corner so we didn't go head to head on it. Lovely car...
