Am I right in thinking that is not exactly the same as the main body colour? Like a 'satin' version, not as glossy? Thanks, J |

Its more of a matt colour, as seen here:![]() Most repaint the bottom half to match the car, some times the finsh of the kit is lost. It will be nice to get that finsh back as it really suits the car. Lewis |

The point of that finish is that the paint is slightly flexible, and more chip-resistant than the metal body. If you just paint it with a standard Satin finish, it will look like sh!t in no time at all. If you can get the proper protective paint as originally specified, and make a proper job of it, then go for it, otherwise i'd go body colour gloss. |

Was just thinking of using the Satin black as detailed here: http://www.caswelleurope.co.uk/krylon_fusion.htm I've yet to see the actual finish, but am led to beleive that they are black........ |

It's tough alright, and i've seen it somewhere before! Click Here Tbh it's the totally wrong product for painting such large flat expanses, not to mention cripplingly expensive if used on such a large scale. You really need to get a quote from an Auto Paint supplier like Paints4U or Morelli. Matt is our resident automotive refinisher, as well as being a 16v owner, hopefully he can offer good advice... |
