Hi i'm chris... almost 23 and from Telford in Shropshire....

found the link on google while searching for the 130e oc as i'm looking to buy a 190e.

what sort of things should i look for when buying a 190e... like is there anywhere they're prone to rot, or rattle...

anyone from around my way at all???

hope to talk to some of you guys and gals soon :)

Yes someone else from Shropshire, think thats makes 3 (exculding the inactive ones)

I'am from Market Drayton so about 20 mins away.


What to look for, Rust around rear windscreen, electric windows not working, Rust around 4x jacking points in the sills and underneath. Leaky sunroofs, diff wine.

Whilst your in the boot, remove the plastic liners from both sides and check for rust on the rear arches.
Check the heater motor works and also the lecky windows. The rears especially

Also worht popping off the rear most boot liner that covers the boot slam panel (comes off easily) you can get some patchy rust underneath it.

But best & simplest buying advice, if the shell is mint, all else can be fixed ;)

Still, the less work you have to do the better!

Have you a particular model in mind? engine size/transmission/colour etc :driver:

i'm wanting the 1.8 manual, not bothered on colour as i'm owed a favour by my buddy who owns his own bodyshop so it'll be going black eventually...

i quite fancy this one...

haha it's in middlesbrough ... if i do buy this one, my mate owns a motor home so we're gonna go up one day, sleep in the camper then pick it up and drive back... cold weekend away :lol:
