Neil, it must be a local car.

I was in Grosvenor Square last week and turned around to see what that 'thundering' sound was coming up past me..... Lo and behold, it was this car!

My God, does it sound amazing!!! Not to mention definitely looks the part too! You guys that own these, you are very lucky indeed!

Here are some more pictures of my resently frish up of the engine, very nice bottom end and one of the pistons and the blue printet rod B)

I have even made a special aluminuim BRABUS 3.6-24 badge for the engine, because the old org. brabus sign is made of some very poor thin metal and glued on with some sort of black sticky gum gum, and then it is paintet so the plastic is coming af in pieces with age.

If some one else have this problem I have the orputunity to make some.
It is made on a CNC machine and is very nice, just see the picture.
Much stronger and does not give up because of the heat.
The old sign can bee seen in the background ;)

Chap on the mbclub site had a Brabus 3.6 coupe which had been on the Autotrader for ages at 8k and I'm sure he paid less than that for it. Had Carlsson rims on it to begin with which may have put some people off perhaps.

There are Brabus cars which are the full factory cars and then cars which have maybe just the engine or the body kit and wheels .

Was the "Full Monty" and a manual, just had Carlsson rims on it for some reason. He put it back to original and had the interior re-trimmed before some moron wrote it off whilst stationary outside his house :crying:

Some pics here, although you may have to sign up to see them........ http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/members-gallery/30367-some-more-pics-my-old-brabus-w124.html

My engine sign is very tatty
The BRABUS 3.6-24 engine sign painted and the aluminium letters are paintet with clear paint to protect it that cost 125 Euro ex. shipping.
You can also get it totaly without paint, så its raw aluminium if you wish to piant it your self for around 95 Euro ex shipping.

I hate the org. one that is so thin that you can´t even take it off without bending it or the paint is coming of.
I have boght a bran new org. 3.6-24 badge from BRABUS in bottrop that belongs to the newer engine M104.998 in the W210 but this has a shorter sign, so it dossent cover the whole Mercedes-Benz name... :ermm:

The one I got made is very solid and strong due to the thicker material and the paint are therefore not coming of because it dossent bend or move around when the engine gets hot ;)

Very subtle bonnet vent, do you think it's intercooled?

Very smart all of these!

We've got a TTCE in at the moment, just repairing a brabus exhaust for it, got brabus springs, shocks, wheels, clocks, steering wheel etc to go on. Then its off to have the full bodykit fitted, will grab some pics when its done. B)
