Welcome Geoff, glad your enjoying the site. 190evoluzione has a particularly nice 1.8 and lives in London, however, unsurprisingly its not for sale! I'm In london too - you don't tend to see too many quality ones for sale. It really depends on how much your looking to spend and what spec really. Had a quick look and found this: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...r=&max_mileage= |

Geoff, welcome to our forum I`m in London too, but I got my car in Derby ! One bit of advice, there are lots of 190`s out there- some,a few, are great, lots are crap. Dont rush, look at lots and find a really nice one. It can be done, but dont rush ! A good one will be a joy, a bad one will leave you with big holes in your pockets ! |

Thanks for having alook around for me...Watching a few on ebay...Have seen that car on autotrader...Only reason I havn t made a move is because of no mention of service history, the rims are badly scuffed(might be picture) and as you say best to buy out of London for a good example..What bout these on ebay....... 180188612018 110202001729 |

They both look ok from the pics, however, with these old cars its always better to look at them in the flesh and especially have a good look for rust

also check in the boot wells as if the drainage holes are blocked then it can accumulate rust there |

the second one in those I'd be slightly wary of - never heard of a mk2 (does he mean postfacelift? If so it can't be a 87. also 1k is quite high unless its very nice and no pics. £550 for the last one seem ok if its as described |

Welcome fella, good luck with the hunt! Looks like the boys have got their peepers open already, I'll keep an eye out for you too. Most 568 Signal Red (Signalrot) 190s I see have a darker lower section. Mine doesn't, it was monotone from Factory. I've seen a few others like it, but only a few. For your reference... My car Brabus |

This guy sells cars from his door. I bought a silver 190 from him . I test drove the white car and the only things wrong are the drivers door has been repainted and the diff whines . he imported both from japan and they are both mint never seen any rain at all. But its far away and its auto but only 78K, he will drop his price because he wants to get rid, he wants to retire. He is in my opinion a decent and honest guy. (he gave me my 190 for a weekend to try) and appears to do this as a hobby usually imports nissans toyota etc. Hope this helps 1992 J Reg MERCEDES-BENZ 190 E With Air Con 2.L Price: £1,395ovno Features: 78,000 miles Automatic White Petrol Saloon J reg (1992) Full Description: Glossary of Terms 4 Doors, Automatic, Saloon, Petrol, 78,000 miles, White, MOT-08-2008. No make that a 2.3 komp engine from a c class... Nice easy swop as its a four pot, but then the wiring is never simple, could go with the getrag to link it to... Runs an eaton charger think its an M45... Check this link, if your needing ideas there are many engine swops covered in here: Engine swops.... |

Trying to achieve as much power and reliability with as little capacity as poss.........But theres no substitute for cubes...I think the only solution to the electrics would be a stand alone ecu...Looking at the megasquirt equipment.Would need to get someone to build for me.I can solder but I wouldn t trust it to germany...Can t imagine trying to fix that roadside...lol |
