Hi just bought my first 190 today, its a K plate 1.8 manual. Great so far really pleased. Just the accelerator seems a bit strange, feels like the cable has loads of slack in it, but on checking it is fine. There appears to be 2 stages to the linkage, is it normal for the first to have very little affect? |

Hi mate, welcome
What you've described is exactly how my accelerator is, and I've come to accept it as normal. A little 'anticipation' distance  |

Hello and welcome
The accelerator issue seems to be the norm on the 1.8 and 2.0l cars. my old 2.0l was the same but my 2.6 accelerates at the slightest touch of the pedal for some reason!! |

Hi, Welcome, ive only been here a week or so myself. As far as i can tell on my 2.0 manual there is deliberate 'slack' on the accelerator. This comes from the design of the lever that the cable attaches to. It has a slot that it moves in before it picks up the throttle. I don't know why. My old 1.8 manual was the same. (both injection) The main thing to check is if your getting full throttle
