Went over a speed bump just a little too quick, 'n split me centre pipe , not too much, so got the tub of putty out , trouble is the split is now half the length of the pipe hmmmmmm! so, me thinks time for a noo exhaust. Now, there has to be something out there which is legal, a tad noisier, a liberates a few more horses, mines an '88 auto.2.0. Any Ideas? silly question, of course you have.

Thanx

Jeremy :evo2: :driver:

Rather than a complete OEM replacement, i have set up a club discount at a customer stainless exhaust builder near me in the West-Midlands. £220 from the down pipe back. Much cheaper than full replacements and all the best quality available. It is an award-winning Powerflow dealer.

You can have an exact copy of your existing arrangement if you wish, or a full on boy-racer style if you'd prefer.

Tailpipes etc you can all choose when being built and they have a very good selection. Get in touch if you are interested as it has to be booked through me.

The guy who did mine was the guy who built all exhausts for the South African Touring car championship. ;)

I fitted a Powerflow system a month or so back and I'm rather pleased with it, although I am told there is a Sebring system which will do very well, too.

However, I couldn't be arsed to go all the way up there so had it done locally, for a little more than that!

Any idea how much they would charge for a straight through pipe, no silencers, from the manifold to the back box. I want to keep the back box I already have. So just looking for a pipe really :)

Yes it was Phil's. Wonder had he got it sorted in the end?

Incidentally I also have a Powerflow exhaust, very happy with it. Its such a pity Phils one didnt go so well. Hope he's sorted now.

Thanx Martrider, I am definately going to give that some thought, although I am in N. London, Erm, what is the law on old cars and catalyst converters, do we not have to have one? I am thinking mebee we dont, and if thats the case we could go a bit (lot) more sporty. :evo2: :driver:

It may be the case that you can get away with a decat. Mercedes were putting cats in before they were mandatory so if your car is pre 1992 (I think!) you might be able to get away with out it. ;)
