Just got this magazine and it features a full road test of the then new 190 2.5-16 The car had only 1657 miles on it when they done the test at the Lotus Group proving ground Millbrook. Test distance 832 miles. The top speed achieved was 142 mph, 4mph down on the mfg figure ,but the track was wet. Overall, 22.0 mpg The performance results are very detailed and there are some interesting comparisons with the 2.3-16 car,so I think it may be worth scanning. |

I'm not sure how to post the scan. I have in Photobucket as a jpeg, but I'm not sure if it can be enlarged when posted. Is there a better way? |

I've got 2 from 1982 and 83 when the 190 was first launched. I'll dig them out and scan them. |

Yeh but if you can't fit anyone in it what's the point! Might as well have a hatch or two seater! It's a valid one - you'd probably get people in more comfortably in a new Clio sport thingy! Then again I've never sat in the back for any long duration, maybe it's alright..... |

In the main photograph, the car looks at least a foot longer than standard. More legroom in the back then, surely?!   |

I can't remember and can't view it here but did it say a quarter mile time of 14.7? If so that's very fast. |

Standing 1/4 mile in 15.1 seconds, 90mph, but that was in wet conditions, so 14.7 seconds is probably right enough for the dry. |
