I'm probably going up to get a new exhaust fitted to my 88 2.0l auto at kingswinford, Is there anything I need to know to ask for , or ask not for? is there anything I need to know or should I just put myself into their hands? The square tail pipes look good for the rear of our car, does anyone think different? jeremy

Thanx Marv, I'm not a fan of being ramped-up, (baiting & switching they call it in the U.S.) But I can spot it a mile away, I should be able to get what I want for £220 jeremy

Longest build time in history?
|
Hi guys, i'm the one that set it up originally. Mine is still going strong and sounds great. Note, i have seen Phils. I must say they did a shoddy job on it and i am really pissed off with them and need to have a word. I have not been down yet to talk to them, and i only met Phil and saw his car last week. I still think they are fantastic company to deal with, some of the best customer service i have experienced in a car related business! There are a lot of twats out there. I have bought all of my tyres through them for the last 3 sets, and my father also has a stainless custom on his E-Class. No problems what so ever. I think with me setting it up they will ensure a proper job if i'm there so the offer, as always, is open to anyone. I am more than happy to come down with you, and would like to come and see you when you're there. (We can trapse down together?) I live about 10 mins away, and you can have a cup of tea at mine if you decide to use them? Did anybody else get one done in the end? If so i need full names and car details. (I.e, colour and engine size)... Can i have your full name too Phil? (If you see this thread?) Feel free to ring me on 07776 258690 |

Just to re-iterate... Single exit exhaust (This means just one pipe all the way back, not split and on different sides etc!) but double tailpipes also available. The deal i arranged was £220 from the downpipe back, with back and mid box + others if need be, choice of full range of Powerflow tailpipes or sawn tubing welded as the tailpipe, like Dave_Irl and Phil had. You can mix and match boxes for sound while you are there, and there can be a great difference. Remember that as the boxes first coke-up, they get deeper and better sounding, although not usually louder. The deal was originally for 2.0ltrs, as i think 16vs are different, but they did Phils so i guess they count too! Admittedly, the price of steel is about to shoot through the roof at the end of next month, and many industrial companies are already raising their prices. Although this should not affect Powerflow as when i spoke to their director he said all their steel comes from an Australian controlled company in Thailand and is of very good quality. After my last twelve months in a fabrication and design company, i'd like to think i know what i'm talking about, and it is good stuff. Any questions? |

Just got back from Kingswinford, and had an exhaust fitted, it loiks like they have done a very good job, the fitting is properly done , and the guys are most accomadating, whoilst we went thru all the possible combinations of sound and rear poipes,It has made a difference to performance , much better esp. from rest and low revs. thoy gave me a guareantee, and were genuinly consoined that someone wasnt absolutely happy with theirs. Whoever it was should go back and get it soirted. Jeremy( leaving Boimingum now)

Am seriously considering this as my back box is about gone and the MOT's due next month. Bit of a trek for me from the North East but seems worth the trip. Do the tailpipes exit under a standard bumper? as I dont want to be doing cut-outs in the rear valance. |

I got mine done last october, very good service and friendly people. I seem to have been lucky though as they did a twin system all the way back to the back box for me for that £220............was their idea too! So i nearly had the equivalent of 2 exhausts on my car and they took a lot of care on her. |

Andy mate...yes they do, I've got a twin square exit pipes set-up, but, you can have a hidden set-up if you want, in fact almost any thing you like. I went up from N.London, £60 in motion lotion, but it was worth it in my view. jeremy

Another satisfied customer then, all i can say to Phil (As i already have done) is say sorry, i think you just caught them on a bad day. Names of people and engine sizes would be useful though please, just so i can keep track and talk to them properly when i go down. Cheers Mart |

So Mart, do I just mention the club when I phone the garage to get the special price, or do we have some sort of discount card or something? How long do you reckon this offer will be on as I might not be able to get it done for a month or so? |
