Put it in first gear, start it with a bit of throttle and drive it. ( make sure there's nothing parked in front of you.) |

If the engine will turn over ok try squirting some Easystart into the top of the air intake and cranking it. If you can get it to fire you may be able to keep it running and warm up. It sounds like you may not be getting enough petrol in for a cold start. Other thing is if distributor is damp inside you may only have two cylinders firing correctly so it won't keep running. Remove cap and wipe out any condensation and spray leads with WD40 and try again. Hope this helps. PS. I wouldn't usually recommend Bradex Easystart as regular use can't help your engine but if your engine is down on compression or reluctant to start it can work |

Sorry wasn't meant to be funny. when my car was stored in the garage and i wasn't using it, it had the same symptoms and the only way it would start was by leaving the ignition on for 15 min then when you tried again it would prime itself and start, i presumed it was because it stood for a while the petrol drained back?. |

Yes it has half a tank in it, could it be the fuel filter resticting the flow? I only ask as it ran dry a couple of weeks before I parked it up. Will try the dizzy and see what happens, Battery is good as it's cranking well, Cheers for the advice so far! |
