hi again guys, just went to pop down the shop and the car wouldnt start up properly. i can get it to start sum times but it jus dies. the cat box is making sum really funny noises so is it possible it has fallen apart inside and is restricting flow so much as to cause stalling? help us out guys i've got tools in hand! |

It is possible but I have only had two cars in 15 years of driving with CAT`s so I`m not sure. Have you checked the lamba sensor and heat shield as this can rattle about. Somone will be along soon to answer better than I can. |

if i remove the cat is it just as simple as replacing with a non-cat pipe, or will i have to disconnect other things? i admit im not to clever with cars, but learning fast!! |

I don't think you can just remove and cat all together and drive about. You'd have to replace it at some point as ignition timing it set abit differenly on the cat cars as it is on the non cat cars. |
