Yeah Ken, thats my car! We were driving on the M4 to the Chepstow meeting, and we had a blow out! Luckily we were only doing 85mph and nobody in the slow lane. Just a quick pitstop on the hardshoulder to put the spare on!

Unfortunately no one had a puncture repair kit!

My pictures are uploading through photobucket.

wow, could have been so much worse !!

What tyres are they, looks like they have done an impressive job of protecting the rim ! Doesnt look damaged at all. Once flat 18s do tend to shred through the rubber far quicker than a smaller rim does.

OK so here are my pictures from the day...
First we met up with Jeremy and had a bit of a 190 convoy consiting of 2 cars!

Then we got onto the M4 and a problem arised! My new(ish) OZ Operas blew out.

Luckily just a quick stop and the spare tyre was on.

Nice picture of Jeremys car

Then we arrived at St.Pierre country club and took some pictures after a nice drink/meal in the bar. The weather was nice:

But then it started to rain...

I tried to get an individual picture of everyones car but Jay left early in his red cosworth.

Overall, a great day out and it was nice to meet you all.

There was a shed where I got an egg sandwich and a tea, then we went to the bar to warm up before `Chillin` by the cars.

Was really good to meet everybody & chew the 190 cud,

worth the trip, for the chips, alone. & to see Jay's pink paint job.

Thanks also to Bart & Dad for their hospitality, & showing me around their warehouse.

BTW, I'm still picking bits of rubber tyre out of my teeth!!!

Looks like a great meet fellas!
Brave souls, soldiering on in the face of punctures and missing bodywork :P
Jay, it's plain to see that even on a cold, dull day, your Almandine paint is in amazing condition.
Beautiful standard 2.5-16 you have there, we should see more of it.

I have finally managed to get my pictures up... im sitting in the University Library! (no fast internet at the farm...)

Firstly i would like to say thanks to everyone that came, it was really great to see all of you.
The rotten and changeable weather didn't beat us, and when it got soggy we retired to the bar and had some food!
Was great to talk cars for hours, and to see your chereshed 190s.
Jeremy's Cossy went like the clappers - dispite its 'go faster gaffa tape'! ;)

Here is a selection of photos i took...

jeez bart ,that tyre looks terrible,

did it suddenly pop or did it go down slowly without you realising before it got like that .?

man i'm glad you and your dad are ok,i would feel completely wretched if something bad happened to you both from that tyre.

It had had a slow leak, but had been pumped up before the journey,

I was right behind them at the time , very strong smell of burnt rubber rubber out the back,

then a windsreen full of black dust and bits, if it was on a track, they'd call it laying down the marbles ;)
