The age old philosophical question question. Well I am going to assume yes. Good to see you chaps, 190d_2.5 and hitenb. I wont even bother with the pic for fear of ridicule. Hope the vodka doesn't make you go blind, you are brave men indeed !!! There may be a possible pic of some sort arrive later but its not likely. But it did happen, honest guv

Well, it was a great GTG. It started as a twosome - Ken and me - as we were working on my car trying to find air leaks on the bloody veg system. There are the best part of 20 joins where the engine could be sucking in air so we were cutting up transparent fuel lines isolating air bubbles. And we've almost solved it. The car runs quite a bit better than it does; once we've replaced a few more joins she'll be running perfectly. All credit to Ken for taking on a system - a complicated set-up, loads of plumbing and valves - and significantly improving it. Absolute top bloke. Gave up his whole Saturday afternoon to it and me. I think Ken is working on some snaps on what we were doing, so maybe a few pics a bit later. Ken's home-made vodka helped warm us a bit and then HitenB turned up so we went and had a drink and had some Forum gossip . I've been depressed with the car recently. All that veg plumbing terrified me, frankly (and I think terrified Ken for about two minutes halfway through ). I was thinking fuel pump replacement and/or whether I had got water in the veg. There's nothing wrong with the WVO or the fuel pump. Just a few gaps in the pipe seals. Marvellous. Cheers Ken.

I was truly terrified too for a tad, but once I figured it out it does actually make sense. I must say that on paper the extra gubbins makes sense but that given that every single join is an extra possible issue its not worth the risk in my opinion. Putting a 3 way valve is 3 extra points where air can get in. Anyway, I certainly dont need to tell you now ![]() Glad that its running at least as well as it was when it arrived to be honest !!!! We will get there.I will do you some photoshops tomorrow morning. Or afternoon, who knows who will wake me up with a text at what time [just to note this is a joke I was warned to point these things out ]

Who is Miss JD, V? I'm a bit out of touch. You missed out on Ken's vodka, which I mixed with diesel, blowing out the fuel lines. See you next time I hope.

I must add... in true NW London GTG tradition - I was late by approx. 2 hours for a dinner, landed there smelling of a mixture of beer & Tronix's home brew.. Haha! .... I returned to the pub later to have another with Tronix and his mate Mark.. Good times! Cheers! |
