Still not sure what you lad was trying to tell me about my alloys Rich :D Cheers for the bits and bobs B)

Oh and Jeremy....I can't thank you enough :)

And Andy and Joy for my 70's cups :D

A very good turn-out! I hope everyone found it easily. I know it's easy for me to get there, but I thought it a decent venue - I'd been nervous about the food, but they seem to have pulled their fingers out - new management, I suppose.

Jeremy's cake very good!

Plus, I'd lke to Brian for the Hamburger, Nick for the fixing of my idling microswitch and Phil for the chance to drive his wonderful 2.6. What a brilliant car that is. B) Next on the list when I've cleared the decks (if I ever will). Great to see everybody - we really must do this more often.

But - what happened to Colin? (Cra-arc, that is).

Yes, Matt, it is a little high off the ground. Mind you, a speed bump could easily wreck it, so easy does it...

Absolutely brilliant to meet everybody, just got home to London, and put the car to bed, and it told me just how much it likes to be amongst its fellow brothers.

Well done to Andy & Robert, Thanks guys.

Great drive back up the M5 chasing Phil & Mark at 12x10 leptons ;)

Off for tea now, posting more, laters.

Good stuff, I'll get my photos up when I can. Had a good day and enjoyed seeing all the cars! Nice food as well!

Want to ask, what do you (especially those who've bougth 16vs recently) reckon mine's worth, its this one below in case you didnt know.
2.5, 116k miles, rebuilt engine, gearbox, new clutch, other bits and bobs. Nice inside & out. Almost no history though.

Also I always thought the rear is sitting too low??

Shame I missed out on the cake..

Well it looked all right to me. Cars are really hard to price at present, but I have noticed that projects/breakers are apparently only rarely available now and actually q. expensive. To someone who loves these cars then the cosmetic condition is secondary to the mechanical. What happened to it a year ago is more important than what happened, say five years ago. You can do preventative maintenance of corrosion (up to a point) but you can't preserve a sha66ed engine. I'd say £3.5... But if things getbetter and the market picks them up, then possibly more...

Okay good stuff. Worth me tidying up some bits and bobs? Was a bit surprised by the rust on show all around, thought it was just me! (phew)

I loved Andy's blue low miler, very nice and original.
