Hi I need to remove the headlights on my 2.5 16v to check and test the washer mechanism. There seems to a bolt fixing to the rear and centre somewhere that also appears to have a "click it to the side" kind of action required. Cant get it to work, does anyone know for certain how to get one of these out please. Regards keith |

Not sure how to do it on a car with Headlamp Wash/Wipers, hopefully a knowledgable soul will be along soon. There is a 10mm (?) bolt securing the headlamp at the centre-bottom, though - normally accessed by taking that trimstrip off between the headlamp and bumper. You should have already removed the Indicator (just unplug connector and unscrew knurled plastic wheel) first to give you more room to work. |

Thanks guys Neil, seems to be a bit of a catch 22 then because it looks like i need to get the washer arm off to get to the strip that would let me get the washer arm off. You are correct i do have the indicator off and the centre most bolt holding the trim strip on. Cannot see anything securing the light on from the front just this bolt under and centre. |

The wiper arms are held on with nuts on the end of the shaft just like conventional car windscreen wipers. Undo the nut and wiggle the arm free. |

hi undo the nut on the end of the wiper arm, pull wiper off splines, now undo the bolt that holds the trim on under the light, pull off trim carefully, the rubber seal at bottom of light can now be carefully pulled off starting nearest the grill end, now you can get to the bolt under the centre of the light were the rubber was preferably with a quarter drive ratchet with extension, next undo two bolts on top of the light, the light should now come out with wiper motor attached, remember to disconnect vacuum hose |

Thanks again guys Light out and the washer motor does appear to be U/S. Not paying the price for new ones though so ive left the motor off. Iggy, no, i noticed the tag line along the bottom of your post. I used to have a 2.6 before this cossy and to be honest i prefer them.wouldn't mind another one some day although i have a bit of a thing for a 60's 280 Se at the moment. Shame they cost a fortune |

i had a cossy to, the 2.6 is cheaper to maintain, plus ive got more of an idea whats going on under the bonnet, ive got a spare m103 head which i intend to get polished and ported some time plus maybe slightly bigger inlet valves, will be interesting to see bhp figures after this |
