Ah, you may need to add a spring pad with one bump extra then. What tyres are fitted? |

your running 60mm drop springs and no spring pads ? Thats gotta be low. How much have you rolled the arches ? I suspect you would need them folded back fully to get away with that kind of drop. You got a pic of the car ? |

A new bolt and lots of washers where the wing and bumper join the car will push the whole wing out just enough I had to do this with a 40mm drop might help a bit |

That is low !! Have you spaced your wings out ? Remove the bolts holding the wing to the body, roughly where the bumper is, and pop some spacer washers in there. To be honest the solution is to put some spring pads in but if you want it running that height then spacing the wing out may help. |

Whats the standard ride and handling like on a 16V? If its anything like a Sportline, I wouldn't dream of dropping one. The compromise between handling and comfort is excellent from the factory. I actually find the 40mm drop on my 2.0 a little too low sometimes (done by a previous owner). It is just on the side of too hard and I can have difficulty with some speed bumps. I would be tempted to put standard 16V springs back on and sell the lowered ones. The right size alloys seem to fill the 16V's arches in standard hight just perfectly, The stance looks great. But then I've never liked the overly dropped look. Just my biased opinion. Al |

You can always go with 205/40/17's, pricey way to go though. |

If you reduce your tyre profile from 45 to 40 then the overall diameter of the wheel will reduce by over 15mm. Hopefully this should sort the issue as its quite a lot of extra clearance room? Its an expensive way yes, but it prevents any further mods to your bodywork which could go horribly wrong if not done right! 60mm and no pads - I take it they don't have speed bumps where you come from!? :-) Stu. |

your tyre size is wrong for a 60mm drop pal. u need 205/40/17 or 215/40/17. You should only have 45 profile if the motor is not lowered. nothing will cure that problem until you change the tyres... Mines a 60mm drop and has had 17", 18", and stock 15" and no rubs.. Edited by rhysmangatmotorsport, Thu Mar 26, 2009 1:24 pm.

will be a 205/45/15 good for a 60mm drop? Or still I would have rubbing, although its 15"? |

You might be able to get away with just doin the fronts keep the tyres and swap the rears as they wear out and when the second set die drop down a size for the rears that's what I'm doin saves a few quid |

so far we have everything from add spring pads to change your tyre size to cut your arches to reshape your arches. guys, he's only rubbing "on the front only when parking and manovering around town". i think the cheapest 'possible' solution to this problem is a simple fender spacing: http://community.190revolution.net/wheel-tire/3214-fender-spacing-washers-bolts.html |

Is it the fender (bumper) or the bottom of the metal wing that meets the bumper that is rubbing the tyre? |
