Powder coating? Wont that burn off? I've seen manifolds glow on track days.

Just get it sand blasted or chemical dipped, leave it shiny metal and polish it up every so often, will turn some nice colours when hot...

They've stopped doing them at MB, just ran the part numbers through MB parts.

Ceramic coating should cost you about £100. Any more, and ask them why...

£1000! I'd be able to do them with water cut flanges and mandrel bends for a lot less. Just need a template to build the jig.

Anyone interested? Can do titanium too at extra cost.

My plan was always exhaust wrap, I think it looks great on the 16v work of art manifold.

ye Kenny, not only does the wrap look good but it keeps the engine temp down which
increases HP.... P.S scout breakers? I brought a spare 16v manifold for £30, luckily I had a relative that was in London to pick up for me...

as rhysmangatmotorsport mentioned it helps because it insulates the manifold from the engine bay, forcing the heat further down the downpipe and keeping things nice and cool. I think the spirals work really bicely on the 16v manifold.

You can get it in various darknesses and some stuff is quite cheap.

Yes Matt, please do ( calipers arrived safely btw, been meaning to say) and of course you will get it back, if i can fettle it so that it will mate upto a 1.8/2.0 head then the 8v boys can get a piece of the action too :)

If I were to get 5,16v sets made up and gauge demand from that, work should begin on the adjustable rear camber arms sometime soon too :)

I would also be able to supply the manifolds pre-heatwrapped too if that is what people want.

moomy, much as I love the pic you will have to shrink down your sig, the last somewhat familiar pic wraps onto the next line at most resolutions making it very large indeed.

Im sure I can find a half easten marsbar or something shiny to throw in for the return voyage :) a manifold gasket would be awesome too if you can find one, if not i'll have to order one in.

I look forward to getting it in and hopefully saving people a few quid. What are the factory ones made from?

What? 'the' gaffer tape? The very gaffer tape that adorned a certain cars front wing? I would be honoured to slap it on the side on my monitor :D
