Does anyone know if the downpipes/systemare the same on cars fitted with or without catalysts? Mine has the catalyst, but basically I'd like to fit the downpipes froma non cat car, i.e get rid of the catalyst. I know I'll need to get a hole made for the lambda sensor, but I just want to check the downpipes will mate up with the rest of the system. Cheers Bri |

Ooh I should remember this as I have just been searching for a 2.6 downpipe for mine I reckon you might be alright dimension wise its just the bore of the exhuaust I am not sure whether that might have changed I would not have thought so but don't know enough to fully advise. Let us know what the outcome is I will be very interested. BTW I presume the CAT's were fitted from 92 onwards right? |

They were by law from the 1 August 1992, however the important bit is the the date of manufacture - if built before the 1/8/92 there is no legal requirement to have a catalyst fitted. |
