so like moomycossie, I have a leaky boot, but it's not filling up inside the boot, but insde the boot lid.... When I lift the boot lid after a downpour the lid seems to have gathered a ton of water inside it and it then pours into the boot, there's no rust anywhere that I can see. Thoughts? |

As above. replace the boot lock seal - less than £1. Also remove the tiny bung passenger of boot lid at lowest outermost point |

^^what he said^^ Almost certainly bootlock seal. They are about a pound from the dealers, removing the bung helps clear it too. Very easy to fit but if you withdraw the bootlock be careful as its connected by a rod to the central locking. Its easy to break the plastic connecting tab off. You dont actually have to withdraw the bootlock fully so best not to. |

cheers chaps, will do the bootlock seal anyway. no spoiler so can't be that, just seems like an awful lot of water for the bootlock seal, but what do i know? other than no water is leaking into the boot until i lift the lid and out it tips!! |

I have the same issue, there's a lot of water in the boot lid, I have no spoiler, I can't really see how the water can get in there through the boot lock, it's seems like a lot of water. |

yeah it's wierd!! I think what I'm gonna do is pour water on and around the boot lid from different angles and keep checking, it might help me identify where it's getting in from, prob wont get chance till the weekend but I'll let you know how I get on. |

Are you sure it's a bung in the corner of the boot and not a rubber damper? |

I had the same problem and fixed it by removing the rubber bung and by replacing the rubber seal/trim of the boot. |
