im not sure if this is the right section so please feel free to move it

right my first question on the 16v

i have new front wings to put on, but there are no side repeaters ( leads from the wing) this is not a problem as when i orderd my new clear ones for the 355 2 ltr they sent new leads through too.

my question is where on earth do they go as i could not see any place to put them

any ideas chaps ?

IIRC they pas through the hols in the inner wing and connect to the wiring on the front corner indicators, but i am sure you will get a definate answer from a more experianced member....

they feed through a pressed hole in the inner wing as mark said but if your car isnt meant to have them then the hole may not be there.

the simplest way would be to drill a 20mm hole, feed the bulbholder through and feed a 2" piece of garden hose split along its length over the cable to prevent chaffing on the hole. dont forget to rustproof any holes you drill and make sure there isnt anything behind the inner wing....last thing you want is to drill a hole in your header tank or washer bottle.

lol washer bottle ect.. will all be replaced at some point anyway but i will take care ;)

funny you should say that as the old wings didnt have them, but as the new wings are patent parts they have holes cut for them. do you think its worth getting a genuine mercedes wing and just going smoooooooth ?

I'm only really here for the Kitchens

I think those new wings are genuine mb. They were off an original perfect condition 190. Non mb are thinner.

As far as I could tell the car didnt come with indicators. I know its not likely but there are a few cases of 16v's without so I assume its one of them.
