Ok I replaced the ignition barrell and switch....b*stard of a job. Refited and put back on wiring/cap type piece onto switch.

Now she wont start.

I have spark definetly.

I have fuel....but maybe too much. I took out all plugs and all were soaked except cylinder 3. That one wasnt bad.

Car keeps cranking and cranking but no start. (I have the booster pack on her also)

Put a tenner of fuel into her also (with a jerry can)

Going to tow her now to see will faster cranking help to start her. One of the mechanics at work who I rang for help said it might.

Going doing that now.

Will be back online in an hour so if anyone could provide input it would be fantastic.

Thanks

Kieran

ps. Ive my first show in cork tomorrow with her so need her running :'(

Check the Over voltage Protection(OVP) relay fuse. its behind the battery and to the left of the ecu's. Its the silver relay with a red top on it. The fuse/fuses are under a little clear plastic cap on top of the relay. Its a pain in the arse to get too though.

These cars don't like being jump started or having booster packs connected and the fuse usually blows to protect the ecu's from power spikes. When using power packs or jumper cables, always have the headlights on to stop the power surges blowing the fuse.

It might not be the problem but its' worth checking.
