1. Will the rad from a 2.6 auto fit and work on my 2.5D (I've found one cheap). 2. Is an electric fan easy to fit and wire up, what will I need, and is there one from another car (that I can find in the scrappers) that we know will fit/work? Cheers team ![]() Al |

Electric fans are simplicity itself, but ensure you mount it the right way, otherwise it can taek air away from the rad. Believe me, I did it once years ago. Are Kenlowe still going? Don't know about interchangeability of radiators I'm afraid... Edited by RobertE, Wed Jul 22, 2009 7:19 pm.

I am pretty sure the 2.6 wont fit a 2.5d. The 2.6 rad fits under the slam panel to give enough room for the 6 cylinders. The 2.5 fits inside the engine bay like the rest of the range. Fan wise I am using the aircon fans from an aircon 190, bolted directly on to the front of my rad. I havent bothered wiring them up yet but it should just be a case of fitting a temp switch and a relay. |

I know what you mean about the rad of a 2.6 fitting under the slam panel Kenny. Could I not fit it in the same place on the 2.5D? Thanks guys. Al Edited by algord83, Wed Jul 22, 2009 7:28 pm.

Edit, I suppose what I mean about the 2.6 rad; Will it provide adequate cooling for the 2.5D's block. I can make it fit one way or another. Either by fabricating new clips or by removing the slam panel and re-fitting it over the rad. Al |

the 2.5 doesnt have a removable slam panel, you would have to hack it off and replace with a 2.6 panel which is held on by bolts instead of welds. |

If your model is 'automatic' it will need the 'Rad' with the oil cooler in the bottom for the gearbox oil cooling. |
