Read in a sales thread that the seller of a 16v had fitted the oil filter head with screw on filter off a an 8v, any idea from which models that would be?

We used a screw-on 8V filter assembly base on an early trial solution to the 16V filter/thermostat unit/ ITB interference problem. I do not knoe the 8V model, the filter assembly base was in a pile of loose parts at a junk yard.

Here are photos of the 8V base: one bare, and one with a remote oil filter/remote thermostat adapter. That was too messy looking so we bought one of Thorsten's DTM adapters, a neater and more professional (and expensive) solution.

I have the same adapter but from Atec, looks pretty much the same as Thorstens, where did you get your filter holder from which you used together with thorstens adapter Mocal?

We used Prestolite adapters and thermostat.

Here is a link to a 2007 write-up we did on the remote oilfilter/thermostat system installation. The system has been absolutely trouble free for two years of hard use with the ITB's and now with the ROTREX blower.
