in two ways really... is a better make one like bosch going to give you any return. can it make the spark stronger or is it just a case or better quality parts meaning it will last longer and also are they all the same across 190's including 16v? i bought one for my 16v from GSf and it look completly different from the one in there (which is Merc branded - could be original). It could be made to fit i suppose but that doesnt seem right and if it doesnt look right it probably isnt. i have checked out ECP online and all there coils they have on there with pictures look completely differnt to the one I bought. |

If in doubt, assume ECP are wrong. I wish it were different and I still use them loads but I have lost count of the number of times they have given me the wrong part, even when I insist they double check. I dont really know the answer but I would imagine all elements of the system need to work in harmony so the spec will probably be the same, just the quality would vary. Alter the output of the coil and it could have all sorts of effects on the rest of the system. |
