Hi guys After reading somewhere that a 500E FARB fits on a 16V i ordered via MB. I then drove my car to Thorsten in Germany via Techno Essen and left the car with him.The following day i received a call saying it does not fit 16V(fits the 2.6) cars as it fouls the radiator. My car has an Evo2 rear bar and has bilsteins at front with new SLS shocks on the rear. The car also runs Evo1 rims and seems well balanced on the track. I still wish to fit an Uprated FARB..any ideas? |

There is, somewhere on the internet (I can't find it now, it's on the Rev though), a list of all MB ARB thicknesses. It's an Excel sheet. |

All valvers have thes same front ARB. So the ARB from EVO / EVO II is no upgrade. Get an ARB from a 300E sportline (limobar according to the table posted above - thanks to Dave Meiman!). Get the bushings and the W124 brackets. Cut the ARB and grind the brackets to make them fit. The result will look like this: ![]() enjoy! Christian |

Could the problem be that the 2.6 has the larger radiator, fitted only to 16v with optional air conditioner? AC-radiator is wider but thinner, as compared to the stock 16v radiator which is thicker but not as wide? I know that the 2.6 and 2.5-16v radiator fitted to ac-cars dont have the same part no., but they cold perhaps more similiar in size compared to normal 16v radiators? I just found the dimensions for the different radiators, Stock 16v 2015006103 410x372x42 A/C 16v 2015005303 488x447x34 2.6 2015006603 552x438x34 Edited by JM Motorsport, Fri Aug 28, 2009 8:18 am.
