Hey guys and girls. Im having problems with the clutch hose that i fitted between the clutch master and slave. Its not an original mercedes part infact i thought it would be good and bought braided hose. Although im having issues with it leaking at the ends. The question im asking is if there is anyone that drives a 2.0 manual, a later one thats willing to give me there reg number so i can go to my local stealership and get the right part that i need. Im asking this because its an auto to manual conversion that i have done. This would be a great help. cheers

Yes they are genuine MB part numbers. You could buy online at www.mercedes-benz-parts.co.uk by copying and pasting the numbers across. You may need to add an 'A' before the part number - "A201999999" for example.

And remember to type, 190 owners, in the promotional code box to get our club discount.

Although, to be honest i always find the dealers to be cheaper even after the discount!!

Finally something I can comment on from some experience. I have a 1985 190D 2.2 manual. The picture is deceiving, the "line" is actually about a meter long total, about 3/4 of it is a straight piece of metal (like rigid brake line) and will need to be formed over the transmission from the slave cylinder. It would help if you had an old one as a template, and some tube bending tools, but I'm sure you can manage with some patience. The last 1/4 section is a rubber hose that will connect to the metal line from the inside of the car. This I am told is to prevent vibration from cracking the metal line. You would be well to get part 53 or 74 also, I can't remember, it is the rubber expansion plug that goes into the body panel as the line exits to the underside. My part number for the line (#50 in the pic) is A1242950513; you should take your transmission number along as well (see the footnotes in the pic). I have not installed mine yet, and can send a bad camera pic if you want. It costs about $65 at the US dealer.
