As the title says, I need some advise as my old slave cylinder (original mercedes) gave up yesterday. I took the cylinder out of the gearbox, and noticed that the push rod end has excessive wear. Instead of being spherical or almost spherical, it is almost flat at an angle [ |\ ] as you look from the top. Does this indicate any wear on additional components like, Clutch, bearings, throw out mechanism? I ll take the car to a garage to do the job as I don't have any time available during the week, so Is it worth while doing the slave and gearbox mount to do the clutch to? Thanks in advance Menelaos |
