Loving the W123 as I was walking to work this morning I just came over all funny as a W111 coupe drove past me either a W111 or a nice 280 CE W123 coupe will do just fine even though I am still loving my 124

Wondering how the V8 conversion makes the car feel ? Was it a pain to convert?

conversion is a manual box.
auto conversion can be done in far less time,
once all donor parts are organised in advance.
will post a pic of the adaptor to combine gearbox with 560 engine shortly.

w124 can be done as well.

I have a real soft spot for W124 in any version, but the coupe looks better and better as time goes by (IMO).

The 123 looks really nice, I would like a V8 conversion some day, W123, W201, S124 I wouldn't really mind. I had a 500E and really miss it.

thanks sopego

id have to agree on the w124 , as an all round package ,it takes some beating.

the w124 is without doubt one of the most composed cars under heavy braking from high speeds,
ive driven ,even by modern standards ,very confidence inspiring.
a friends of mine has just built a 500CE w124 ,its unreal and no difficulty in handling the extra power whatsoever.

he does mercedes V8 w123 and w124 conversions and 3.0 w201 & w123 conversions in ilfracombe , devon.
recently sold a 3.0 w201.
