Could someone please post how to drain system remove and replace spring actuators spheres then top up and bleed system. With pics if pos as my 2.5-16 is becoming lazy around corners and it's as if you have to wait for the suspesion to catch up. From Charles's thread I think thats where my problem lies. If Iam completely wrong do tell me of other possabilities and solutions. |

The failure of the spheres normally results in rock hard suspension with very little travel. Every little bump in the road becomes a violent adventure. Soggy suspension is normally caused by the self leveling valve not sending fluid quickly enough to either side. It is also the only item in the system that works in conjunction with both sides. I am, of course, assuming that the fluid has been topped up and is in good condition and that the pump is working correctly because your ASD is working ok! |

Yes I topped the fluid up when I got the car, the fluid was a little brown though, no asd light on, the frist time I had the car on the ramp I noticed fluid on the sls pipes but in the time Ive used the car 1200 miles the level in the bottle is the same so if theres a leak its very small. |

The fluid should be completely clear. Probably worth changing before spending any serious money. The bleed valve is on top of the SLS valve in the centre rear of the car. Its attached to the anti roll bar. |

Big Ben looks like the sls valves to blame, had up on the ramp tonight adjusted the level for full up and full down. She goes up but not down, damn good drive home with some oil in the dampers. |

Sorrry to 'jack' but I am changing the SLS valve very soon. Am I right in thinking that the bleed valve is for letting off the pressure as the SLS system is self bleeding? |

Correct. It is also advisable to put a bit of rag over the spanner to stop getting any last amount of pressurised fluid in your eye.
