Springs are separate.

You should be able to find some -40mm lowering springs on eBay, type this in to eBay UK search - mercedes 190 lowering springs

You can buy lowering springs from GSF part. No need to be a kit as the standard shock absorbers will do OK with lowering springs up to -40mm max

If you go any lower than that, you need shorter shocks

I havent fitted them yet but they are -40mm and shortened shocks. I'll be running 5mm spring pads (possibly lower polyurethane ones) and 15" wheels with 205/50/15 tyres.

Richy you have to be careful with the lowering and spring pads.

I have my car lowered with the APEX kit. After a year I have to say that the springs settled and I have front wheel rubbing with 185/65/15 on the 8mm pads.
I plan to change them to 13mm front and 18mm rear. that will save me from scratching on car park ramps.

After I noticed the rubbing at front arches I did some measurements and I found that the APEX kit without pads is 50mm lower, so with 8mm pads it will be 42mm lowered in total.
Just try to find more info on the springs you put in, compared to new originals, so you can select the right pads.

they vary mate depending on trim level according to a 'points system' when the car was originally specced.

all sizes available are original, but thickness depends on car specification. i.e. if you tow a heavy trailer you will need the bigger size available for the rear which is 23mm
sizes are: 8mm, 13,18,23 all available from dealership.

The spring pads i'm led to believe dont lower by their thickness, ie, an 8mm pad wont lower the car 8mm due to the geometry of the suspension.

Also 65 profile tyres are huuuge which may have caused your rubbing.

So if I was to just stick 8mm ones on reguardless of what on mine now, what diffrence would it make?
