Longest build time in history?
Just wondering if there is one of these for the 190 DTMs available? Would be very useful for me if anyone knows of anything!

A good read though, quite a lot of interesting annotations, just seems weird that a lot of this was "legal" for DTM specs. I've not heard of much of this being used on the 190s.

Jakes BMW DTM Suspension walkthrough

By the way, I have no idea who Jake is.

Or why it's on an S14 forum, I though those were Nissans? Never head of an S14 BMW, is it an engine tag?

Hi,

Jake is ''Jake Larsen'' USAF Helicopter technician
who is as much into E30 M3's as some on
this forum are into 16v's.

His ''walkthroughs'' are a combination
of years of photos taken when he was based
in the UK, he is now back in the USA.

Some of his pics were taken at Mossely Motorsport
of the Labatts BTCC 2.0 M3 that Nigel Mossley
used to own, and I think there was a DTM car
there at the same time.

go to www.s14.net and yoiu will see more of his stuff.

Very informed and helpful guy.

Regards,

The Gorilla

Well we sort of, my friend Henrik have 6 old 190 DTM cars, and my friend Eric has one. Its basically regarded thatthe rear supspenion of the 190 was far more superior then M3, and that of the Klasse 1 was the most technicall advanced, and did not have much in common with our cars..

but from the 2.3-16v to the Evo 2 its actually not that different. Biggest difference is lower arms, hubs and antiroll bar, and of course coilovers.

My intention is to do a guide of the differences between different years and models of the 190 DTM cars, you will later find it on our website at www.dtm-archives.com

We wil start out with the rollcage design.

That will be fantastic, and a resource i very very much look forward too. Will it include all the specs so you can basically make your own? I don't suppose there are any legal obligations any more for a car that very few people still race properly.

Thank you for the effort. We are looking forward to having the information. It will help me replicate the suspension to the race cars of my team.

For the info about the DTM cars in Thailand in 90's, I will try to follow. He is very busy at this moment.
