hey guys, was driving around last thrusday when i noticed the warning light for low brake fluid (handbrake) came on in my 1993 1.8, knew it was due a service before the NCT (MOT) so decided to drop it in today, got about 2 miles from the house today and suddenly clutch went limp on me, with no real pressure puching it back up and couldnt put the car in gear, or change gear while the car was runnning, eventually, i pushed/drove the car back to the house, i read the previous posts and presume this this is a leak from one of the cylinders, any idea if this sounds like the slave or master that needs replacing? thanks. jj |

it could be either or neither, it could be the pipework from the resevoir, the flexi pipe from the slave. look for evidence of the leak in either the footwell, underneath the car or in the area around the resevoir. That should give you the answer R. |
