still trying to figure out the non starting problem with the 2.6. :crying:

undid all the injector fuel lines and there is no fule getting to the injectors...

main fuel line - pressurised and fine.
all other fuel lines coming from the fuel pressure regualtor and coming into the fuel distributor - presurised and fine....

took the fuel lines off the top of the fuel distributor... and nothing....

anyone know what is going on here...

not even any fuel coming when the engine is turned over.

i can hear the fuel pump working, and fuel is geting tot hte distribiutor, but not being fed to the injectors....

The EHA valve is probably the culprit. I have a bootful of dodgy ones. We had this - oddly, with Simon's old valver - :D  when it simply would not start. It would kick overe a bit but that was that. So, swapped the EHA and all was fine. It's another one of those little boxes that seemed so clever at the time (and help hugely with economy) but 20 years on, it's a different matter...

My 2.6 is currently in the garage with exactly the same problem. Indie reckons it's the fuel distributor assembly and will be fitting a replacement hopefully tomorrow. If that doesn't cure it....

.......er, may sound like a daft question, but what's an EHA valve, where is it and what does it do?......cos if the replacement fuel distributor doesn't sort it, I may need one too!

the EHA valve is the black box bolted to the fuel distributor mate......

i am in the process of getting one from an ebay member that i am buying some parts from... if it cures the problem, i will let you know, but if you find a cure for yours..... if you could let me know also.. that would be great.

I believe (but don't quote me) that EHA valves are basically the same for all four and six cylinder engines of our era i.e. those with KE injection. Double check this (Russian site?) but there might be some useful dosh to be saved. I'm investigating (but he's rather elusive) a bloke who can reair fuel pump relays as wellas EHAs. Elusive, because he hasn't called me back...

If you go into the General Technical Information & How to guides/walkthrough. Click on to Mercedes Questions and Answers.

Click on to Mercedes Questions and Answers again, and you will go into the (Wiki Answers site).

Click on to the second page I belive the answer to your question is about 2/3 of the way down the page.

Sorry I can't do a link but I hope this helps.
