Hi, my 16v that I just bought is riding high at the rear. Looks odd. Previous owner disconnected SLS and fitted new springs and Record Maxi shocks but he thinks that standard 190E springs went in. Its running on 17" alloys. Is there a difference netween 16v springs and standard 190's?

Rob.

Since all 16v have SLS on the rear, they have special springs which cannot be used with regular shocks. Get lowering springs for the 16v or source a set of sportline springs, if you want to keep your shocks.

Is there some sort of pads in there I can take out to drop it 20mm or so?

Or what is the correct spring size suppose to be?

13 and 18mm spring pads are available for the rear springs.

Where is the pad located? Top of the spring i'm guessing. All I have to do is take it out?

on the top of the spring yes. But if you really want to get a similar ride height as you 16v originally had with SLS, try to source a set of sportline springs.
