Henger ( Frank ) has sent me the provisional date for the 16V GTG for 2010 .

This is THE meeting for all the 16V's , Evo I & II , and all the 190 AMG & Brabus specials .

Unlimited track access is available , and advice on how to prepare your car is freely available .

There is free camping on site too .

I was the only RHD car there in 2009 , and subject to much admiration .

After seeing all the pics from Heckenheim last year I'd love to come to this but it would all add up plus it's hard to commit as I will have exams around that time. :(

About 3 and a half tanks return from London to the track and back including a day on the track ( 100 euros ) - I did about 100 laps .

I did 1275 miles altogether and got back with half a tank out of 4 fills , a tankful is about £85 using Shell 100 Racing fuel .

Budget about £500 if you are camping , ferry is about £50 return .

If you are coming then you need to pm Henger ( Frank ) and let him know .

Steve , see my post above ^^^^^^^

It's a 7 hour drive , 407 miles from Dunkirk to the track , that's taking it very easy .

Do you think I could pass the 190D off as a 16v and sneakily park up next to them until I am like barricaded in and they have no choice other than to drop a 16v lump in mine too? :P

Hello people.

Thank you for your interest.
You are welcome at Hockenheim.
In the next few days we will announce the final date and other details for the meeting.

RHD cars are very exotic in Hockenheim and rarely found there, as evolution-models.
I and surely many others look forward to drinking with you at night a few beers B)

Regards

I am sure the guys wont mind non 16v, obviously they are the point of their GTG but we were made to feel very welcome and I was in my w124.

If its ready I plan to get my 3.0 on the track.

Although its obviously the main event its not required that you pay to go around the track. I am sure jezza will give you a lap or two as a passenger in his car, I can supply the sick bags

Damn that looks like a shed load of fun B)

I think I'd have to pay to drive on that track no matter what I'm driving tbh. After one lap as passenger the temptation would be far too great by the looks of it :)
