clutch issues?

hi there after doing a manual conversion, ive ound that the clutch biting point is right at the bottom of the pedal range and there is no specific biting point. the clutch was good and so were the other parts.
when we bled the clutch we done it like you would a normal clutch and not how the haynes tells you ( bleeding via the brake) but it works but could bleeding it the proper way make a difference???
