in the last car a ran a fused cable to the battery for both my sat nav plug and for the central locking well i remoed the sat nav plug and im gona re fit it in the new car but thought i would connect it up to the light in the glove box so when i close the glove box it would turn the sat nav off would there be enough power in the cables or would it just blow the fuse and i would be better just running a wire to the battery again???

That depends on how much your Sat-Nav uses.

I always wire mine into the Cig-Lighter naturally in 'Paralel'

The SatNav will take almost current at all - I would think it'll be fine

I am sure that Bolide is right , but if you ran it from the battery before , then why not again , you know how to do it !

i really dont want to start messing around with this car too much but this make my life so simple as i can mount my sat nav in the cup holder in the glove box and just need to close it over if nippin into the shops no sat nav marks on the windscreen and it keep the cables outta the way

if i wana use the tyre pump off it im not sure if the lighting circuit could cope
