Hi, my oil needle is constantly stuck past the 3 mark. Does sumone know which connection on the back of the dash is for the oil and any possible causes for this? Thanks (Picture would be great)

If it's a valver, there are two senders at the oil filter housing, one for temp. and one for oil pressure. They do cag up, causing the gauge to misbehave. Easy fix, just clean the sender at the filter housing.

Sorry, mines a 2.0 auto carb. Will the sender be in the filter housing on my model?

I cleaned it but no change. Could it be the connection on the back of the cluster?

Ah. Well now you've got me. I've had this happen on three of mine, so I'll hand the microphone to someone who knows more. That is a large grouping...

No, when it's working it goes up to 3 in neutral, then drops to around 2 when driving. Mine stays as high as the needle can go and stays there.

It shouldn't drop when driving....

oil pressure increases with engine speed.

your engine may be ticking over too high or your oil is too thick?

can you tell us at what RPM the engine ticks over at?

Robin.
