Hi,

I have tried looking through the forums for this information and most likely I have just been searching badly.

I have a hazard light appearing on my dashboard, usually (only i think) when i start the car up in the mornings. Its the rightmost symbol on the left set of symbols on the instrument panel, looks like an engine with liquid in the bottom (with waves). And its yellow.

Im guessing its some sort of coolant or auto trans fluid but im not sure and i have checked the various tanks.

Any help would be awesome, only had the car 11 days or so, trying to iron out the problems.

Welcome to the forum. If you have an owner's manual, it's a good idea to read through it and familiarise yourself with the car's functions. Let me know if you haven't got one.

its is the coolant level warning light..........................its operated by a float in the header tank,if your coolant level is ok,i wouldnt worry about it,as it has been known for these sensors to malfunction................................mine comes on if i take a long fast sweeping bend, yet the level never moved from the maximum mark

Hi clueless and welcome,if you're changing the coolant in the future remove the sensor from the coolant bottle and give it a clean the hinge mechanism can sludge up over the years and prevent good contact.
