Hi Guys, (this is my first new topic :) ), I've recently bought a 1991 190E 2.3 and the aerial is in the up position and doesn't ever move. I can't even hear the electric motor working! What could be the problem? ^o)

It can be one of the few things
stereo changed, new one doesn't have support for a electric aerial or not wired properly
battery feed to the aerial disconnected from the battery (will look to see where the fuse is)
earth connection disconnected or badly corroded
plug on the aerial corroded or just unplugged
the motor is screwed and doesn't want to work

The stereo is aftermarket and has aftermarket speakers in the parcel tray, maybe they disconnected it accidentally?

The common colour for the power to the aerial from the back of the stereo is blue, check to see if you have a blue wire coming out of the stereo that isn't connected to anything.
