My windscreen's gone a bit smeary - goes hazy when the wiper goes across, then gradually clears I imagine I might have got a greasy layer - can any one suggest a good way to clean it off ? Howard Bath England '93 1.8 190E 5-speed manual |

Autoglym glass polish always does the job for me. I always clean the wiper blade with it too which also makes a big difference. |

I've got the same problem here too, since my new windscreen was fitted a month ago it seems to have gone from being ok to being smeared and foggy. I've tried glass polish with vinegar, even neat vinegar rubbed on with newspaper, all to no avail. I've just today bought a bottle of IPA (isopropyl alcohol) as this is supposedly an excellent degreaser and cleaner for many things, including glass. I'll let you know the results once i've found time to use it ove the next few days. |
